Learn how to make the yummiest Peach Yogurt with just a few ingredients to serve fruit-on-the-bottom style, mixed together, in a pouch, or in a bowl with a spoon. This is fast, easy to store, and works with fresh or frozen peaches.

    Peach Yogurt

After loving my Blueberry Yogurt and Strawberry Yogurt, I have been eager to try a similar method using stone fruit and this peach version does not disappoint. It’s one of our favorite ways to flavor plain yogurt and the fruit taste is so darn good.

This recipe creates a homemade Peach Yogurt that’s similar to store bought fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt, but the peach flavor is fresh and bright. It’s a great way to use seasonal fruit or affordable frozen peaches depending on what you have access to, and it works blended smooth or with a chunkier fruit base.

You can even make this with dairy-free yogurt as needed. Try this easy yogurt for kids (or yourself!) to serve as part of breakfast or snack.

    Ingredients You Need

Here’s a look at the ingredients you need to have on hand to make this easy yogurt recipe with peaches.

    Ingredients for peach yogurt.
    • Fresh or frozen peaches: This recipe works with either type of fruit. The peaches should be ripe or to make this with frozen fruit, thaw it first so it’s easy to blend.
    • Lemon juice (optional): Depending on the flavor of the fruit, you can add a little fresh lemon juice to brighten it up.
    • Honey or maple syrup (optional): Depending on the flavor of the fruit, you can sweeten to taste with a little honey (for kids over age 1) or maple syrup.
    • Whole-milk plain yogurt: You can use regular or Greek style yogurt here according to your preference. (You can also use vanilla yogurt if your family prefers.)

    Step-by-Step Instructions

Below is an overview of the process involved in making this recipe so you know what to expect. Scroll down to the end of this post for the full information, including amounts and timing.

    1. If using fresh peaches, halve and remove the pits. Add the fruit to a blender with the lemon juice, if using. (If using frozen peaches, just thaw first.)
    2. Puree smooth.
    3. Place the peach puree into a small saucepan over low heat. Bring to a simmer and cook until soft. Sweeten to taste as desired.
    4. Divide the peach puree and yogurt among storage containers.

    How to Store

Store this yogurt in airtight storage containers in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can also freeze it into yogurt popsicles or to thaw for a future meal or snack right in a reusable pouch.

    Best Tips for Success

    • Serve in a bowl with a spoon or in a reusable pouch. Or store and serve in small storage containers such as the WeeSprout Glass Jars I’m using here.
    • This is delicious with fresh in season peaches, but can also work with frozen peaches. If using frozen peaches, thaw them first.
    • To make this without a blender, simply dice the fruit and add it to the saucepan with ¼ cup apple juice or water and cook as directed, or until the diced fruit softens.
    • Omit the honey or maple syrup if desired. Avoid honey for kids under age 12 months.
    • Let the fruit cool slightly before adding to the yogurt.
    • Use dairy-free yogurt to make this dairy-free.

    • Place the peach puree into a small saucepan over low heat. Bring to a simmer and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring regularly, until the puree starts to thicken. (Briefly cooking the puree intensifies the peach flavor.) Toward the end of cooking, when you stir with a spatula, you should be able to drag it through the pan and see the bottom briefly.

    • Turn off heat and let cool for 10-15 minutes. Sweeten to taste with honey (for kids over age 1) or maple syrup.

    • Divide the peach puree and yogurt among storage containers. Serve or store in the fridge and serve cold.
