    This bunny and chick handprint craft is so easy to make. This handprint puppet craft is great for kids of all ages like toddlers, preschoolers, and even kindergarten kids. Whether you’re at home or in the classroom these bunny and chick handprint crafts are perfect!

    And the best part is that the paint is made of edible ingredients so it’s taste-safe, making this a great craft for kids of all ages.  

    My five year old son had a blast making the paint and creating the puppets and my 11 month old baby even got to participate because I didn’t have to worry about him tasting the paint.

    How To Make Chick and Bunny Handprint Stick Puppets

    Step 1

    Cook sugar, cornstarch, and water over medium heat, whisk constantly until thick. Remove from heat and divide into three bowls. Add yellow food coloring for the chicks, blue and red for purple bunnies, and green for grass.

    Step 2

    To make the chicks paint your child’s hand with the yellow paint and press it onto the paper.

    Step 3

    To make the bunny, paint your kid’s first two fingers and palm with purple paint and press on the paper.

    Step 4

    To create grass, paint their fingers green and press them onto the bottom edge of the paper.

    Put details on your chicks and spring time bunnies and then cut them out.

    Step 5

    Add details with markers. We put a simple beak, eyes, and feet on the chicks. The bunnies got a tail and whiskers. The grass got a few flowers.

    Step 6

    You can leave your pictures as is or create stick puppets. To make the stick puppets simply cut out your shapes and tape them to sticks!

    Bunny Handprint Craft Variations

    To make the eyes and legs you can use pencils, pens, crayons, black gel pen, black sharpie, pencil crayons, or even a regular pen. Or you can use small googly eyes on your bunny craft. You can even add some sparkles to your bunny ears. You can also add multiple colors to your painted hand to make any color bunny handprint craft. Or add pom poms or cotton balls to make a fuzzy bunny tail.

    Fun Easter Bunny Handprint Craft

    Chicks and bunnies are often associated with Easter. And that makes this a perfect Easter craft. And not just an Easter craft, but also a spring craft! There are so many different times that this bunny handprint craft and chick handprint craft would be perfect.

    You can easily turn this into one of the best Easter activities. Add Easter eggs to your bunny handprint craft. Add a little tie and make this an Easter bunny craft. This spring time chick and bunny handprint craft is perfect for celebrating Easter with kids.  

    Materials
