Let’s talk about the famous Pottery Barn toddler chair, the My First Anywhere Chair. You know the one I am talking about, they are an absolute classic at this point. I had one for each of the first 5 of my kids with name embroidery and all. But, as my 6th little guy entered the toddler stage I stumbled upon the Delta Children Cozee Chair. I figured it was worth trying, and you guys, I am obsessed!

Both the Pottery Barn toddler chair and the Cozee Chair from Delta Children are great options with similar qualities. However, there are some significant differences which I will get into below so you can pick which would be best for you.

Pottery Barn Toddler Chair vs Delta Children Cozee Chair

There are a couple of things to take into consideration when picking out a toddler chair; it needs to be comfortable, durable, and, let’s be real, cute enough to fit into our home decor. I have tried and loved both the Delta Children Cozee Chair and the Pottery Barn Kids My First Anywhere Chair.

But which one is the best choice for your little one? Let’s break it down.

    toddler chair

    Comfort

First and foremost, your toddler chair needs to be comfortable. After all, that is kind of the whole point! Both the Delta Children Cozee Chair and the Pottery Barn Kids My First Anywhere Chair are made of soft and durable fabric, but there are some differences.

The Cozee Chair has a plush seat and backrest that’s perfect for snuggling up in. It’s made of polyester fabric that’s both comfortable and easy to clean. The Cozee Chair is a great option for younger children who may need extra support as they learn to sit upright as it has a little more structure.

On the other hand, the My First Anywhere Chair is made of a cotton twill fabric that’s both soft and durable. It features a foam insert that provides support for your child’s back and arms. The chair also has a removable slipcover that’s machine washable, making it easy to keep clean. The My First Anywhere Chair is a great option for slightly older children who are more comfortable sitting upright on their own.

Winner: Tie. Both chairs are comfortable and supportive in their own ways, so it really comes down to personal preference and your child’s age and development.

    Size

Size is another important factor to consider when choosing a toddler chair. You want a chair that’s just the right size for your child, but not so big that it takes up too much space in your home.

The Cozee Chair measures 18.00″ wide x 18.75″ high x 23.50″ deep. It’s very lightweight and easy to move around, which is a plus for busy moms.

The My First Anywhere Chair measures 20.5″ wide x 17.75″ high x 16.5″ deep. This is definitely the larger chair in terms of width and you’re child can use it for a bit longer because of this.

Winner: Delta Children Cozee Chair. I love the extra depth that the Cozee Chair provides allowing your toddler to sit back further.

    Design

I’m going to be honest, I care a lot about how my home looks! I have put a lot of time and effort into curating our space, so the design of a toddler chair that’s going to be in our main space matters to me. In design, both the chairs we’re comparing are pretty similar. They do offer different colors and fabrics, though.

The Cozee Chair comes in a few different colors and patterns, including gray, navy, and blush.

The My First Anywhere Chair also comes in a variety of colors and patterns, including stripes, polka dots, and solid colors.

Winner: Pottery Barn Kids My First Anywhere Chair. While both chairs have great design options, the My First Anywhere Chair has a lot more options to choose for.

    Price

Finally, let’s talk about price. Of course, you want to get the most value for your money, but you also don’t want to sacrifice quality.

The Delta Children Cozee Chair is a more affordable option, retailing for around $70.

On the other hand, the Pottery Barn Kids My First Anywhere Chair is a bit pricier, with a retail price of around $130. While it is more expensive, it’s important to note that the chair is made of high-quality materials and has a timeless design that can be used for years to come.

Winner: Delta Children Cozee Chair. While the My First Anywhere Chair is a great investment piece, the Cozee Chair offers great quality and comfort at a more affordable price point.

So, which would I choose? The Cozee Chair is my personal favorite! It is a more affordable option that is great for younger children and smaller spaces. The My First Anywhere Chair is a higher-end investment and offers more design choices, but I don’t think that justifies the price difference.

Of course, you really can’t go wrong with either and, ultimately, the decision comes down to personal preference and what factors are most important to you and your family.
