Learn how to make Stuffed Garlic Bread that’s both easy and so darn delicious. Plus, it can be stuffed with veggies, cheese, or meat!

We have been loving the King Arthur Baking Company’s baking mix kits because they make homemade bread so easy to make. And this Stuffed Garlic Bread has been a surprising hit with my kids. We love to have it as a main dish (sort of like Pizza Bites) with a simple salad and side of fruit.

Of course, it also works as a side dish or even as a lunch or brunch component—and the pull-apart bread can be stuffed with veggies, cheese, or meat like pepperoni, chicken, or beef. It’s super versatile!

(You may also like my Focaccia Sandwich recipe and my Pretzel Cheese Dip, which both use King Arthur Baking kits.)

    • King Arthur Baking Pull-Apart Garlic Bread Mix Kit: This is my go-to way to simplify making homemade bread since it comes with the herb mixture and clear instructions on how to make the bread in under an hour. It comes with the dough mixture, yeast, and a spice mixture to add flavor to the top of the bread,
    • Unsalted butter: I prefer to use unsalted butter in my baking, so that’s what I use here to add moisture and richness to the bread.
    • Shredded carrots, minced broccoli, pepperoni, or other add-in, as desired, are great as stuffing in this garlic bread. You can also do a mixture of 2 ingredients so you get more flavor in each bite.
    • Cheese: Parmesan cheese or mozzarella cheese works well to top this bread and add extra flavor and browning on top.

TIP: This is great plain or you can dip it into warmed marinara sauce or pizza sauce.

    • Grease an 8×8-inch square or round pan with nonstick spray. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

    • In a medium bowl, use a spoon to mix together the dough ingredients into a rough dough. (It will be a little dry and that is okay.)

    • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and a bit bouncy, 1 to 2 minutes.

    • Using a knife, divide the dough into 24 equal pieces.

    • Add about 1 tablespoon filling in the center of each, seal the dough around it, and roll gently into a ball and place it in the prepared pan.

    • Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for 15 minutes.

    • To make the topping, in a small bowl, combine the melted butter and seasoning packet. Pour the mixture evenly over the dough, then cover and let it rise for another 15 minutes, until puffy.

    • Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top. Bake for 22 to 28 minutes, or until it’s golden brown and the cheese is melted.

    • Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes in the pan. Serve warm, either straight from the pan or transferred to a serving plate.
