With just 5 ingredients and an easy method, you can make fresh, naturally sweet Peach Ice Cream to share with the kids. Plus: Find methods for making with an ice cream maker or without!
We make a lot of frozen dessert recipes in the summer in my house—and honestly, the rest of the year, too—and this Peach Ice Cream is one of our favorites. It’s easy to make with zero cooking, and it really shows off the flavor of the fresh peaches.
Plus, it has lower added sugar than most traditional ice creams, too.
I pull out the ice cream maker I got many (many) years ago as a wedding gift, and in under 30 minutes we have the most delicious homemade ice cream to share—no need for eggs, a saucepan, food processor, heat, or anything else fussy!

Ingredients You Need
Here’s a look at the ingredients you need to make this Peach Ice Cream so you know what to have on hand and ready to go.
- Heavy cream: This is the base of the ice cream and helps create a thick, creamy texture since it is low in water content (so it has a low risk of freezing into ice crystals).
- Cream cheese: Softened cream cheese (let it sit at room temperature for about an hour so it’s totally soft or you can put it on a heat-safe plate in the microwave for 15-20 seconds) helps thicken the ice cream mixture without the need to cook or heat it—or use eggs.
- Honey: I like to sweeten this mixture with honey since the flavor pairs well with fresh peaches.
- Vanilla: You can use pure or artificial vanilla extract to add flavor to this recipe.
- Peaches: Using fresh, ripe peaches (pits removed but skin on) adds all of the fresh fruit flavor to this ice cream. You can remove the skin if you want to, but we never mind it in the mix and it adds fresh peach flavor and fiber, too. Any variety of peaches work, including Elberta and Saturn.

Best Tips for Success
- To make this without an ice cream maker, simply add the mixture to a freezer-safe container. Stir every hour as it freezes for the best texture.
- Trade in maple syrup for the honey if desired. Avoid honey for kids under age 1.
- Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor in the finished ice cream. You do not need to peel them.
- Add some diced strawberries to vary the flavor if desired.
- I use a classic Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker for this recipe, but if you want a no-churn ice cream, check the Notes for the instructions.
- Feel free to use half cream and half Greek yogurt or whole milk to add more protein and reduce the fat a little.
