This is a summary for McKenna from 13 years, 9 months old to 14 years old.
SLEEP
Sleep is great! There are no concerns about sleep. She has figured out how to get ready as fast as possible in the morning so she can sleep in as late as possible in the morning.

KIND
McKenna is very kind to others and goes out of her way to make sure everyone feels accepted. She especially makes effort in her PE classes to help people feel at ease.
McKenna is very athletic and the type of kid who is one of the first picked for things. Whenever she is a captain, she picks kids first who never get picked first. She doesn’t want them to feel bad that they never get picked first.
CELL PHONE
We have a strict rule that devices cannot be in rooms with closed doors at our house. If you are in your room with your phone, your door needs to be open.
McKenna took her phone in her room one Saturday and shut the door as she did chores. She was running Spotify with it and wanted it with her.
Innocent mistake. I talked to her about it and reminded her of the rule.
A couple of Saturdays later, it happened again.
This time, my husband and I decided it was time to help her not forget again, so she lost her phone for a week. No access to it at all.
It was a lot, but I don’t think this is something to mess around with. There are so many potential pitfalls with technology that I don’t want to mess around with it.
She was not upset. She understood why we did it and understood we were trying to protect her in the long run. She has not forgotten again!

SOCCER
Soccer is good! This time period was all offseason, so nothing major went on. Kaitlyn and McKenna played in an indoor league. In the end, their two teams were ranked 1 and 2. They played each other in the championship. Kaitlyn’s team won–which is good since Kailtyn’s team is older.
PIANO
Piano is going well. McKenna does not LOVE the piano like Brayden and Kaitlyn do. Because of that, she doesn’t put as much into practicing as they do. She does enjoy playing, just not practicing.
This is something I love about the piano. It takes a lot of work to get good at it and really teaches you the benefit of working hard over time.
CHOIR
McKenna is doing an after-school competition choir. She loves to sing and is enjoying the choir a lot.
BRACES
McKenna got her braces off during this time period! She only had them on for about a year and a half. She was really excited to get them off.
CRUISE
McKenna enjoyed the cruise we took as a family! She is pretty easy going and likes most things she does.
SCHEDULE
6:30 AM-Get up and get ready
7:00 AM-Go to school
3:10 PM-Get home from school (unless it is choir)
5:00 PM-Dinner. Family time. Homework. Chores. Piano practice. Activities. She often has a soccer practice or a game.
9:00 PM-Get ready for bed
9:30 PM-In bed
