Refreshing, nutritious, and ready in minutes, this Mango Frozen Yogurt is a seriously delish recipe to share with the kids. You don’t need an ice cream maker, yet it’s perfectly creamy!

This is one of the easiest recipes for frozen yogurt ever—with only 2 ingredients and a method that takes just minutes. And the result is creamy and naturally sweet, with pure mango flavor. Such a great option for hot days or when you just want a special snack to share!

This recipe is appropriate for any age and can be made in a blender or food processor, so you don’t need to buy any special equipment. You can make it right when you want to serve it, or you can make it ahead of time and stash it into the freezer for when you’re ready.

Also, it’s worth noting that this is a great option for adult snacks and desserts, too, so make sure to enjoy some yourself!

    Ingredients You Need

Here’s a look at the ingredients you need to have on hand to make Mango Frozen Yogurt so you know what to pick up from the store or have ready.

Ingredients for mango frozen yogurt on countertop.
    • Frozen mango: Look for diced frozen mango in the freezer aisle of your supermarket. It is naturally very sweet and so convenient to buy frozen since there’s no peeling or chopping required.
    • Greek yogurt: I like to make this with plain whole-milk Greek yogurt, though you can use vanilla or a variety with lower fat if you prefer. (To make this nondairy, simply use a creamy nondairy yogurt.)

    Step-by-Step Instructions

Here’s a preview of how to make this Mango Frozen Yogurt so you know what to expect from the process. Scroll down to the end of this post for the full information, including the amounts and the timing.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the consistency of homemade Mango Frozen Yogurt?

It is smooth and creamy, like you’d expect frozen yogurt to be.

Can I add lime juice or sweetener to add flavor?

Sure, feel free to experiment and add fresh lime juice or zest and agave syrup, honey, or maple syrup as you like.

Can I add berries to this frozen yogurt recipe?

Sure! Add 1 cup frozen blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries to the mix. Keep at least 3 cups of frozen mango for creaminess.

    How to Store

This is best served right after making, but you can also freeze it in individual containers for future use. Let it sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes if serving from the freezer.

    Best Tips for Success

    • Use frozen diced mango and let it sit at room temperature for about 5-10 minutes before you start.
    • Use Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla, or full-fat coconut milk yogurt as a dairy-free option.
    • Adjust sweetness after making by tasting and then adding honey (avoid for kids under age 1) or maple syrup. Mango is usually very sweet so we don’t usually do this, but the flavor in the fruit can vary.

    • Add the mango and yogurt to a food processor.
    • Blend until very smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. It may take a minute or so.

    • (If the mixture is hard to blend, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes or you can add ¼-½ cup water or apple juice, starting with a little liquid at a time. It usually just takes a bit to get going in the food processor, so I would try letting it sit at room temperature or continuing to grind before you add any liquid.)
    • Serve immediately or freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months until ready to serve. (If serving from frozen, let sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes to soften.)
