I’ve been getting a lot of questions related to traveling with kids, eating out with kids, and generally feeding kids while not in our own homes, so today’s post has three reader questions to help us all through these challenges.
First, how to feed a toddler in a restaurant—should we go with the kids menu and why it is all so expensive. Then, how to easily cook in a rental house when we have no pantry or freezer staples. And lastly, how to pack food for a day of travel (so we don’t spend all of our money before we even get to our destination!) without need an entire extra suitcase to fit the food.

So far, I pack food for my son to eat when we eat at restaurants, but I know he will want to eat off of the menu soon. It’s hard to find places that are healthy and organic though—what do you do with your kids when you eat at restaurants?
