Sunshine Billingual locations across the country are gearing up for Random Acts of Kindness Week! From February 13-19, join us for fun activities and spreading a little extra kindness!
Here at Sunshine Billingual, we believe character education matters and have adopted Random Acts of Kindness week as a fun way to teach children about caring for others. The Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Foundation took off in the 1990s in pursuit of a mission to “make kindness the norm.” A small nonprofit based in Colorado, the RAK Foundation believes all people can connect through kindness and that kindness can be taught. Now, Random Acts of Kindness week is an annual celebration working towards creating a kinder world.
Through our Sunshine Billingual Character EssentialsSM curriculum, we teach common values and character traits to children with the intention of helping them develop into moral, caring and responsible citizens. Random Acts of Kindness week is just one way we nurture kindness in children, encouraging good deeds in and outside of the classroom.
Take Part in the Fun
Kindness Links
Create a chain of kindness! Cut out paper strips or use our premade template to keep track of good and kind deeds performed by your child. Link all the acts of kindness to set off a chain reaction of goodness!
Kindness Notes
Share a kind message with a friend, family member, or community member. Jot down a kind message and hand out Kindness Notes to brighten someone’s day. You can even add some color or a drawing to the note!
Kindness Cards
Kindness Cards are a perfect way to thank a special someone or for sharing a kind sentiment with a friend or family member. Download our kindness card template and have fun adding color and pictures. Then share it to help spread some kindness.
