This is a summary for McKenna from 16 years old to 16.25 years old.
SLEEP
Sleep was good and normal. She loves to sleep and needs a fair amount of sleep and has high sleep needs.
EAT
This is also good. She has been trying to find healthy carbs that she likes. She isn’t really into pasta, white rice, potatoes…she never has been. She has been eating a lot of sweet potatoes lately so she can get some healthy carbs each day.
SCHOOL
School went well. She did great in school and had no problems in her classes. She went to her first high school dance during this time. She had two dances during this time period. That was a fun milestone. A fun class she took this section of time was guitar. She really enjoyed playing the guitar. At the concert, she played the piano, played the guitar, and sang.
TRACK
She tried track for the first time this school year and she loved it! She had a lot of fun and enjoyed the environment. She did really well. Track season started three days after she was cleared to start running again. She was able to drop time at every single meet, which isn’t surprising since she was starting at zero as far as training goes.
PIANO
She is still taking piano lessons. She takes them year round. She had her spring recital during this time and did great!
SOCCER
She also played soccer this spring. She was coming back from injury, but she did well. She has been practicing Monday through Thursday this summer with the high school team for high school soccer.
PHYSICAL THERAPY
She started doing physical therapy again. She has tendonitis in her ankle, and has for years. Track really exacerbated that, so we decided to do physical therapy to help that out. It has been helping a lot! She does a lot of dry needling, cupping, and scraping.
BRAYDEN HOME
A very exciting thing that happened during this time is that Brayden came home! He was in Africa for the last two years serving a mission for our church. We are so happy to have him back.
